My advice is to make sure you dispute in the state of South Carolina. The Houston office never took my certified mail and im still waiting to get the results back from the BBB i filed with Texas for LVNV also. My OC was Capitol One....LVNV is a tough and didn't send or respond to any letters that I sent. They should up on my CR in August 2011 and im just getting them to agree to remove it. I never called them of course.
Congrats knk112! What a relief it must be to have LVNV off your back! ![]()
I filed a complaint with BBB (S. Carolina) on LVNV as well around the same time. However, I haven't heard anything back yet. From reading on the forums seems as though they have about a two week turnaround time frame for results--in which two weeks in my case will be tomorrow. Any chance you can PM me with the dispute used in your claim? Thanks in advance for any info!

I got a response from them yesterday, same thing, all they did was say they own the accounts. I responded that I dont care if they own the accounts the complaint was that they didnt send a dunning notice before going on with collection activities stated it was against the law again. So I paid them off a month ago and it was still on my credit report the rep said that the notes on my account said that it was going to be deleted on the 20th and reported to the CB. So I will know in a few days if they are true to there word.

It took a handful of days after the 20th for it to fall off for me as well..

I hope that is the case there Scott, there no doubt hurting my score more than anything on my credit report right now. With them gone Im hoping for prime rate type scores. Its encourage though there response was they would list it at paid off never mentioned that to the rep. Her notes on the screen said that the account would be deleted.
