If you are within SOL, I don't think the chances are good. They have the upper hand when a suit is still possible. I'm sure more members will chime in with their experiences soon. I myself have not tried to PFD any accounts within SOL.

No, that would be very unlikely to happen.   If you are ever interested in reopening another AMEX account then you may have to PIF.    Also as mentioned, the SOL issue is important as well.
