Legit Companies to help with credit

I don't believe there are any companies that are legit. Six months ago I almost fell for it. I enrolled with Lexington law (and they sound so predatory on the phone) but i was able to cancel on time before they locked me in. My scores were at 585 now my scores are TU 680 EQ 675 EX 667. I just kept making my regular payments on time. Today I called  a collections agency and asked for a paid for delete and they said yes. I have two more collection agencies I have to call. The lates and inquiries dont fall off. Inquiries stay for 24 months and lates fall off after 7 years. But my last late was in September of 2014. I'm just careful not to be late anymore. I used to be careless. But you can do the work yourself. All you need is a credit report so you can see who the agencies are that you owe to. The forum helps a lot. Hope this helps.

The way a company or even yourself can hurt your score is you have old accounts that are not updating monthly. By disputing an old account if not removed it will update hitting your score as if it's a new derogatory and you will lose points.

Lates can be removed earlier than the 7 yrs.  You would need to send a letter to ask them to.  And the inquiries are very difficult to get removed.  I had some stupid company put 500.00 in my checking acct.  Never asked for any money from anyone but it was there.  Had to call the bank & company and have them remove it.  One of those payday loans I assume.  Found a credit inquity on my EX report also.  They were like 30 minutes away from me.  But they would not remove the inquiry.  I can't say  who got rid of it for me but they did in no time at all!  I just didn't want something on there that I didn't initiate.
