Length of credit history inaccurate

I've been going over my credit reports to see why my scores are so low. I've found that Equifax has me with a credit history of only 9 years. How do they calculate this? I bought a house 31 years ago (no longer own) and had credit cards before that. How do I go about correcting this?

Thanks
