It does'nt hurt to ask.  All they can say is no.  When you write the good will letter say what you said above.  Be honest.  And do not be discouraged by what some think  Everyone has opinions.

No, I did not mean to demean your hardship period.  I have had many, many of my own.

GW is your only option now.  I just threw out some thoughts.

I wish you success.  I have just seen many GW requests that consumers view only through the eyes of sympathy for their current hardship, which, IMHO, can hurt them more than help.
