I am trying to rebuild some bad credit decisions that I made in the past. I have 2 items in collections that I have not paid off, and I have put off paying these items off, because I fear paying a collection agency is not going to do me any good. I have paid off one of my credit cards in full, and I made a settlement on another one of my cards. When I paid the settlement that hurt my credit too. I can't pay my debts off today all in one sum, but I am continuing to save money up so that I can offer a big sum (unless it is suggested that I pay these off a little at a time). I need to get my credit rebuilt so that I can buy a house one day, and I just don't know where to start.
