I'm creating this post for any and everything about the best (in my opinion and others) credit union out there,... Navy Federal CU,.. My Love Affair begain Summer of 2013 with a credit score of about 663(Trans U) and boy did they roll out the Red carpet for me,... Checking account, Savings Account, Refi my Auto Loan, 2 Credit cards $5000 Plat and $1000 Rewards,... Things were great (so i thought),.. but then they did something weird,... when i became a member they stopped using my decent score (trans u) and went to my enemy Equifax (the worst score dun dun dunn dunnnn 589).. After that the offers came no more,.. applications for more credit got denied, and i never once received an auto increase,... the only thing they send me in the mail is "PrePaid Card" offers,.. which isnt even a real offer in my opinion,.. Sigh,...
So - Now that I really want a CLOC (And i wish i would have known such a thing exsisited way back when because i would have lit them up!!) it's time to get a better relationship with Equifax and restore luster to my score,.. it's really nothing more I can do than pay bills on time and keep balances low like the rest,.. but im just paying more attention to Equifax since I know its the Fico # and information thats going to determine if and when my NF CLOC will be approved or denied. Also it will determine if i'll have the same credit card limits or finally be granted more access to credit. So- upon looking at my current fico equifax score im now 641.. ok' but not Good"... NF checked (soft inquiry) on 6-30-2015,.. i heard they check quarterly and since the last time they check and my score was in either the high 5's or very low 6's,.. they passed me by (im left with this conclusion since i didint get any auto increase).. but the next time they check around 9-30-2015 hopefully i'll be ready. They tend to like anything over 660 so im praying i can get 20 points + in the next 2 months i have left before their next check,.. however, if i get to 660s before then i'll apply for CLOC since thats not something automatically done,.. i'll keep you all posted with Any and Everything related to building credit with NFCU. Feel free to post here about your experiences as well.

So I was under the impression that the Visa and Visa signature was the same,. but when i decided to use the benefit Fandango + 1 free i found out my visa wasn't elgible,.. so i called NF to find out why and was told i had to upgrade my card and have a $5000 limit min,... i know i wasn't planning on applying for the cloc or anything until everything updates mid sept but i bit the bullet and requested the max ($25k) in hopes to a decent counter ($7500+)... I got the "2 day pending" which means hard pull,.. i sent a secure message pleading my case and got a return message and offer the same day (near midnight),.. I went from $1000 to $3200,.. I sent a 2nd message letting them know i appreicated it but needed $5000 to get the upgrade,.. was denied any further,.. so now im awaiting a reply to see if they would upgrade my other card (one that already has a $5k limit) from mastercard to visa signature,.. or if they will transfer the limit on one to the other,.. will see,.. and update you when i get an answer,..
overall credit limit now $27,200K
Just upgraded my $5000 limit NF platiunum mastercard to a NF Cash Rewards Visa Signature,.. Free Fandango Movies here I Come! =)
