MCM is attempting to collect a debt that I **THINK** is not mine.
I've noticed a lot around here that they collect on verizon accounts. Two things about this:
1. I personally never had an acct. with verizon for anything
2. Months ago I had a verizon csr call me informing them I owe them $400. They rattled off the last 4 of an SSN that was not mine. I told them that, they hung up and never contacted me again.
Unfortunately it has been over 30 days since MCM 1st contacted me.
Can I send a DV? And if I can what wording do I include to get the info from verizon with the wrong ssn?
Is MCM good with PFDs if somehow they "validate"
thank you
By all means, send a DV asap to this place. At this point- there's no need to get the wrong SSN frm Verizon. ONLY deal with the CA (assuming they are what's showing up on your reports). Send them a DV. You can search the forum for sample DV letters. Just use one of those- change info to fit your case and get it sent off today =)
