Well i just got approve for macys american express but i also have 5 years charge off from macys 500 dollars how do i deal with this because i just was denied for costco visa because this charge off . Is there anywaily i could get this delete and pass the 500 dollars balance to my new macys card.

You would have to call Macy's credit and ask -- assuming it hasn't been sent to a collection agency. My guess is that they will simply want you to pay the charge off. I doubt they'd want to put **bleep** back on another credit card -- even a Macy's one. Wouldn't hurt to ask though.

Even if you have this deleted, it will still be in Citi's system and everytime you apply, it will come up.

Agree, it will still come up for them. As for your report, if it's a charge off and is deleted, it can gain you points. If it was your only negative or last one to fall off, it can get you a lot of points.

They are required to take a charge-off under federal regs as a procedure to prevent overstatement of receivable assets in their accounting ledger.

It would be inconsistent, and also likely a violation of the federal charge-off regs, to now accept the bad debt back as a receivable asset on another account.

The only hope of credit report deletion would be to either offer a PFD or first pay and pursue a GW deletion.

Try a goodwill deletion since they extended credit to you. I burned Macy's in 2002 and those bums didn't show me love until 2015. You're doing well. Leave no stone unturned.
