Made it to 700!!!

My husband and I both have TU Fico 08 of exactly 700 today!  Our fako TUs were around 560 when we started rebuilding 18 months ago.

Our credit reports are still a mess.  It will be 5.5 years before late mortgage payments fall off because they reported us late while we were in a payment program.  And my report still has one paid $175 medical collection on it that isn't mine.  I just can not get them to remove it. We paid it only because my husband needed security clearance, and they required everything to be current on my credit report.  We didn't know anything about PFD then.  I'm thinking about having Lexington Law have a go at them. I don't think I can use the Hipaa thing because it is paid.

But this is hope.  We never thought we'd be able to approach normal again, and now we can see it will happen.

Re: Made it to 700!!!

Please dont use Lexington Law. Look at the reviews. There might be some real 5 star reviews, but I seriously doubt it. All the 5 stars seem like they were written by paid reviewers

Ok, thanks for the warning. I hadn't really looked into it yet.

Re: Made it to 700!!!

I used the HIPPA law and was able to get a paid 900.00 medical bill removed from all 3 of credit reports. I didn't think it would work either. I think you should give if a go.

Re: Made it to 700!!!

700 already IS normal.  It's actually above the US average.

As far as Lexington Law goes, I used them for a short time (several months), made progress and had no issues.

Re: Made it to 700!!!

You have done an amazing job with your rebuild. Congratulations on hitting 700!! Pat yourself on the back Smiley Happy

For the medical account that isn't yours.. Submit a complaint to the CFPB against the CRA and OC. It's horrible that you had to pay that and it needs to be removed. Good luck
