Confirmed that A-1 Collection Service (member of the TRAF Group) kept their word and removed the CA as of today. This was an account that I did PFD in full for.

Madmann - I see that you had to deal with Hunter Warfield. I moved out of an apartment last year and had a remaining balance. I couldn't pay it all at once, which the apartment complex required, so they told me to let it go to the collection agent. They said that the CA would allow me to make payments and wouldn't report to my CR. Hunter Warfield verified what my apartment complex said. I paid off the balance in 2-3 months and that was that. Now, they are showing as a paid collection account on my CR. I mailed a GW letter earlier this week. Think that will help? How were they to work with?

Electra,
It does feel rather good. It's interesting, that 44 point jump was because the last CA was removed and I was reporting 72% util (it's now 6%). Next month should be a very good month score wise.
Thanks for everyone who has helped in the past.

I have to add in this,
I'm also working on my wife's credit report. We shared this last CA that was removed recently. I got an alert that her score had changed and when I logged in to check, I was astounded at what I found.
Her previous score was 631. When I looked after the alert came out, it's now 667! That is a 36 point bump!
We look to be in the 700 club very, very soon.

AWESOME, brother! ^5
If you dont mind me asking, what EQ FICO range were you when you apped the NFCU unsecured (3k CL)? they keep shooting me down, prob mostly because im on a payment plan with them for the next 8 months to pay off a c/o checking acct (but it keeps it in-house).
i also moved my direct deposits from them and use my old bank...do you actually bank with them, and if so do you think that factors into their app decision?
thanks!
