Re: Madmann26's rebuild thread

Awesome journey I just read your whole thread it gets me excited to keep pushing. It hard getting out of the low 600's but when you know what you have to do and don't do it and you can you only have yourself to blame.... I can't wait for you to break 700

Re: Madmann26's rebuild thread

I first had a cash rewards card with a 3k limit. At the beginning of April I took a HP for a 1k increase.

The last week of April I did a series of SP's which got me up to 10k at which time I PC'd it to a Siggy.

Re: Madmann26's rebuild thread

Just got approved for the Chase Freedom with a $500 limit. It was initially declined but I had the nice lady take a 2nd look. Smiley Happy

Re: Madmann26's rebuild thread

I don't know **bleep** happened with my TU score but it jumped 29 points this month. Last month it was 642 and this month it's 671. I'll take it.

This is the Walmart TU monthly update.

Re: Madmann26's rebuild thread

Its been a while since I posted and I figured I would add an update.

Last month I flirted with NFCU's love button. Asked for 20k and was countered with 16k. This is up from 10k. I've had the card less than a year.

Last night I flirted with Walmart's love button and went from 500 to 950. Just a few minutes ago I flirted with the button again and went from 950 to 1450. Almost triple my original limit since yesterday and I've only used the card 2x.

Keep pressing forward everyone. Rebuilding takes time and most of all, patience.

Re: Madmann26's rebuild thread

I'll get to 700, then I'll set a new goal. Alot of this is time/age on the new accounts. I do leave a modest balance on my NFCU card just (about 3k right now) just so that Fico sees utilization across the board and then the payments.

In a couple of months, I'll hit the love button on my NFCU card again and see what happens.

Thanks everyone, this site really is the best there is when it comes to helping ones self with credit issues.
