Re: Madmann26's rebuild thread

Congratulations on your progress!

This may seem a 'silly' question, but do you have to have a family member in the armed services to apply for the NFCU secured card?

Re: Madmann26's rebuild thread

PRA being douchey. Here is their response to my BBB complaint:

"I have carefully reviewed the information furnished in regard to the account ending in 6564 to the credit reporting agencies by Portfolio Recovery Associates account and the applicable law. Portfolio Recovery Associates has furnished the appropriate Account Type Code "OC" for Debt Purchaser (a/k/a Hactoring Company) and Account Status Code "62" and Special Comment Code "AU" for Account Paid in Full for Less than the Full Balance.

Portfolio Recovery Associates purchased this Orchard Bank Mastercard account from HSBC Bank Nevada, N.A., has repeatedly verified this information for the consumer credit reporting agencies and has fulfilled its obligations to the consumer as an information furnisher under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Further disputes substantially similar to those previously submitted may be frivolous or irrelevant as those terms are defined in the FCRA and may not warrant further responses.
