Major Lates on AES

Just a quick question. How long will late payments hurt me on my credit report. I have some serious lates that came to an end July 2014 on my student loans. Despite them being put in retroactive forbearance AES will not make adjustments to that reporting. Really need to buy a bigger house and this is really dragging down my score

Re: Major Lates on AES

Individual lates in an otherwise positive account remain on file for 7 years from the date of the late. 30 day tends to affect Fico for first 2 years anything else the entire time on file.

Agree. To some degree they will still have an effect, but less as time goes on.
