Making Progress!!!

Hello Everyone! I've been MIA from the forums for a few weeks and wanted to post an update! I have been approved for an auto loan (yay!) the interest rate is not idea but I'm going to refi in 6 months. I financed a 2013 Chevy Cruze brand new for $17,000 out the door rate is 10.64%. I was also approved for Capital One Journey Credit Card $300 limit (small I know) but with good responsible use and payment it increases every 6 months I believe. Today I was approved for Kohls Store Card ($300) and Target Red Card ($300) both smaller limits but in time with good responsible use I'm hopeful they too will grow!! In December when I started this journey I thought that it would be impossible to get financed or to even get approved for a credit card! Looks like the impossible has become REALITY! And I owe it all to this forum!! In a little over 8 months my score has gone from my lowest 464 to 621 (myfico) and maybe even higher ( the auto loan letter says 691 but they use a different formula) HARD WORK PAYS OFF!!!

Melaine, I think it was you, but I could be wrong.  Did you have some information about a contact you were able to get a GW with Sallie Mae a couple of weeks to a month or so ago?  If so can you PM me the details?  In the past I defaulted on student loans with them, I reconsolidated them all in December 2012 and I'm looking for a contact to possibly GW the baddies off of my report.  I tried their advocate, but they didn't budge... Smiley Sad  Again congrats on the new car!
