yeah, its coming from his email. I just emailed the liutenent governor about it....waiting for a non automated response.
The credit bureaus cannot do anything. If the CA allows a deletion, you can dispute the account with the credit bureaus but that's it. I've been cleaning up my reports as well. I've been sending GW ltrs to the CA and OC. You want to try to get them both off. Both the CA and OC are no good on your reports.
UPDATE:
I called the MD governors office, she got my into contact with someone that said they were the Deputy Sheriff of the MD CCU (md website says that position is vacant). He basically told me that they would be breaking the law to report innacurate information under the Fair credit thing. He was kinda rude and mocked me a little bit. Not sure where to go from here. Very frustrating.
Sorry you're feeling frustrated.
Maybe you could pleasantly state that you're not asking anyone to break the law but it was your understanding that a CA could report an account but does not have to report the account so you were only asking for grace and mercy in having them consider removing the account from your report.
