Maxed out credit card

Experian dropped 7 points and TU dropped 23 points on CK, FACO of course.

Ugh, need to get that card down!  Curse you hurricane Isaac!

Once it is paid down I am sure it will come back up, but, in case anyone wanted an idea of how many points get dropped for maxing out a CC.

But that one is a a quick fix.  Once you have paid down the Util, your scores will go back up.  Hope you are OK after Isaac.  Good Luck.

Re: Maxed out credit card

Hurricane Isaac forced my hand as well.  I was going to be content to wait till November to app but because I need to get SBA-disaster loan and it pulls EX I decided to go for AMEX.  After 2 AMEX instant approvals I went for the other card I was denied for prior to my rebuild, Walmart.  Instant approval for that.  Not to let a good thing end I apped for Chase Amazon card and again instant.

I contained my inter-app demon after that.  I calculated my new cards will bring my AAoA from 10.1 years to 8.3.  So I'll have a good dip for 6 months Smiley Happy

But to get back on point, Isaac costs me about 12k in damage to home but I got the cards I wanted and received a much needed boost to my credit rebuilding moral.  Strange how some good can come from such a bad event.

Re: Maxed out credit card

Duncanrr sorry to hear that.  We lost a trampeline and stuff that is replaceable, A shingle here and there.  We had to buy a generator tho, we lost power for almost three days and that isnt fun when you have small ones.  Hopefully you get everything fixed up.  Smiley Happy   I know people are still out of their homes, thank goodness we were not flooded, a few more days we may have been.
