Is DoFD=Date of First Default the same as Last Dlq? How do I determine DoFD=Date of First Default, if only the Last Dlq is reported?
the way i understand it is:
DoFD = date of first deliquency , and it only applies to the deliquency that lead to the status of the TL( c/o , paid c/o , etc)
Im not sure date of last deliquency is a term that is used much. DoFD is the status in which the CRTP stems from.
If you had a deliquency that was brought current and then became deliquent again that lead to a charge off , its the 2nd deliquency that lead to the status so that would be the DoFD
Hopefully I answered your question.
DoFD is the first time you were delinquent, never bringing the account current leading to the charge off or collection.
No, the date of last delinquency is not the same as DoFD.
DOFD is the Date of first delinquency. When calculating the age of the account for the CRTP or the SOL of the account, this sets the clock. It is the date that the account went in arrears and was not caught back up to current.
