I'm happy to report that I got a lovely letter from TransUnion today regarding the Midland/Aspire Visa account that had been erroneously reporting. It'd since been deleted from EQ and EX..TU was the last one to deal with since I had to send in the investigation forms by mail. That was about two weeks ago.

It looks like sending the letter and details of the FTC case worked like a charm. The Midland tradeline has been deleted.

Congrats! I've never dealt with them but I've read horrible stories of users not being able to get their collections off their reports!

great, I have a TL from them that is due to fall of in two months or so,  I guess that means I should expect a struggle with them??

What is the OC? I was lucky since mine was on a CompuCredit account, a company that was sued by the FDIC and FTC a couple years ago. I wish I'd known about it then or it would've been long gone!
