Medical Bill - $385 from 4/2009

I have an unpaid medical bill from 4/2009 for $385. I never knew about it until 3 months ago when I started working on my credit. After 2 years of no activity on my credit reports it showed up today on my Experian report as a Key Derogatory and dropped my Fako 58 points. I immediately opted out and am wondering if the HIPAA process works and is worth pursuing. Will the HIPAA process get back my 58 points?

HIPAA is for paid collections to the OC.  They did work, somewhat, at one time.  But, when it became clear medical debt could be reported as collections, not so much anymore.

Getting it deleted, no matter through HIPAA, PFD, ect will be the only way to get points back.  You seldom get back all that was lost.
