Medical Bill Deletion and my Score?

Does anyone have any experience with how much of an improvement I might see after having 5 very recent Medical Bills deleted from my reports?

I had one go away, got +17, YMMV.  There are a lot of factors involved.

Re: Medical Bill Deletion and my Score?

I had 5 deleted off of my TU report which gave me 12 point increase. The status on them at the time they were removed was iibk though.

Re: Medical Bill Deletion and my Score?

When the 1st CA hits your CR, you take a decent hit. Any subsequent CA's hurt, but hurt less. If these are the only 5 CA's on your CR, then you should see a nice bump once they get pulled off. YMMV as always.

Current FICO 9 Scores

+1 madman

It would depend on what else is on your CR.  Do you have any other baddies?  What type of positive TLs do you have.

Re: Medical Bill Deletion and my Score?

Thank you everyone for your comments!

Sadly I have several baddies on my report that I am trying to figure out what is what and how to take care of them. There are two additional medical bills, plus three credit cards (some of which I know shouldn't be there), but the biggest and ugliest are my defaulted SL's that show up on my report 4 x as US of ED and once as the OC, I am currently in a rehab program for this though and should complete the 9 month process in June.

I'm really hoping to get to where I can purchase my first home via FHA by mid summer, does anyone know if this is possible after the rehab program and cleaning up what I can on my report?

Re: Medical Bill Deletion and my Score?

Is it possible?  Well, before I came here, my credit was in absolute shambles, I couldn't get a pack of gum on credit.  But after reading, posting, asking, begging, etc., and most of all, learning.  I've figured out how to do everything opposite of how I was before.  Yes, it is possible, with some work, you will get a new house.
