Re: Medical Collections

What's the difference between paying the OC and paying the CA for Medical bills? I work for the OC of my last two medical collections. $100 co-pays from 2007. Should I pay them? Or the CA

Re: Medical Collections

You can try to see if the OC will take payment, recall the debt from the CA and ask them to delete their TL.  The CA is in no way obligated to do that.

On the other hand, if you know the debt is yours you can ask the CA for a PFD, which might be quicker.

Re: Medical Collections

Call the hospital billing department and see if they will accept payment. If they say no then you will have to deal with the CA.

Re: Medical Collections

The CA has already denied PFD. The OC will take payment, but I really need this deleted. These are the last of 29 medical collections!! And I really want a clean slate!

Re: Medical Collections

If the OC will take payment plead with them to recall and ask the CA to delete.
