Medical Collections

I have several medical collection accounts on my CR. Do I need to contact the OC first and get the itemized bill and pay them off or do I need to deal with the CA?

People keep saying deal with the OC, but if I do that, will the CA account stay on my report?

Thanks

Re: Medical Collections

Medical bills are handled differently...and for them...you need to use the Hipaa Process...Happydays posted the entire process...in a forum above...but here's the link just in case you missed it....

Re: Medical Collections

These are hospital collections. The process says it is for bills that are NOT hospital collections.

Re: Medical Collections

The HIPAA letter process works for both hospital and physcian collections provided you are in a position to PIF.
