I have a number of old medical collections, which should have been paid by my ex. I went ahead and paid. Merchants who had the majority (sadly some were a mere $10!) said they could not delete due to agreement with creditor. Is this true? Those deletions would have a huge impact on my score.
Nationwide is reporting several. I contacted them to pay. All but one showed in their system, but remains on my report! They have no record of it. I spoke with several people who had no idea how to handle, since they had no information despite my providing every detail from my report AND willingness to pay! I plan to call again and raise to another level. Any advice? Has anyone experienced this before? Again, this coming off would greatly help. Reported by EX and EQ. Nationwide, too, said they could not delete.
Thanks!
