I need some help here. I have a medical bill from 2008. Its on a big $200. PDF GW. What to do. I would like to pay it,but I'm scared my Fico and credit score will be lower. Any suggestions. Thanks again Fico friends.

The first thing I would suggest is to send a PFD request. You pay, they agree to delete the account from your credit reports.

is this "bill" a collection? have you tried paying to the OC? or is this being reported by a CA?

From personal experience, I've had success getting UNPAID medical collections from 2008 and 2009 deleted off ALL 3 CRAs by sending the pre-HIPAA letters. Check your inbox! ![]()
