Medical bill collections on a liability injury case

Hi everyone, I am looking for a little advise on what to do now. My 2 year old daughter fell at a restaurant almost a year ago and broke her collarbone. We have been fighiting with the liability insurance since and the hospital just sent our account to collections which has now reported to Equifax. I was/have been in contact with the hospital and the insurance company several times since the injury. The insurance has never denied that they will pay but, they keep jerking us around probably in hopes that we will just pay the bill and leave them alone. What should my next step be?

I would call them again and threaten to contact a personal injury attorney. This is effecting YOUR credit. I would also tell them to get the collection removed from your reports.

Agreed, either pay and remove, or hire an attorney and go for more.
