Medical collection and HIPAA process

Hi,   I am brand new on here.  I read your thread, 'Medical Collections & The HIPAA Letter Process'.  I have two medical collections, one paid, one unpaid for $118. I was unaware of it.   Both are with the same OC and CA.  Before I wrap my head around the process and begin...   am I right that I can pay the unpaid, then have both removed?  Thanks!

The HIPAA process will walk you through it, and you will end up sending a letter to the OC with a cashier's check for that amount. Yes, you can pay prior to this, but it's safer to do it the way the directions read.
