Medical collection question

I had a medical bill go to collection late last year. I had been paying a few bills i was getting from one emergency visit and finally after paying 3 of them and still receiving bills from the same doctor (I honestly don't remember even seeing this guy) I didnt pay the last one which was for over $500. My credit was looking pretty decent but then the collection hit and dropped all 3 scores about 30 pts. Fast forward about 7 months later, and the collection has recently been removed from all 3 bureaus and scores went back up. Then I received a letter from a different collection agency (Phoenix Financial Services) and it appears they've taken over the debt. I assume I can expect that collection to hit all my scores again soon?

Re: Medical collection question

You can make the new debt collector a pay for not reporting offer.

If they accept and you pay, you then have a valid contract provision that becomes enforceable.
