Midland Balance change

At the end of last month I sent out my first round of DV letters, one was to Midland on a debt for $1,182.  Today I got an alert from myFICO that the balance changed from $1,182 to $1,188.  I know it’s a small change but I have not received anything in writing from them regarding changing the debt amount and the amount has remained unchanged as long as I’ve been pulling the report.  Was this is response to the DV or is it something I should dispute?  Thank you for any help you all can lend.

Re: Midland Balance change

This was probably in response to your DV.  They notify the CRAs that you are disputing the TL and probably sent the updated balance during that time.  At least that is what has happened to me.

Re: Midland Balance change

It is an interest that Midland is charging on a debt that they purchased. It is holding your scores as well.
Be careful to be outside of SOL when contacting them.
