It was pretty basic. This only refers to accounts that were apart of a suit the FDIC filed against some banks. Noteably First Bank of Delaware, Tribute credit card, and Continental Finance. I personally had three accounts that were sold to Midland. It included Tribute, Salute, and another credit card. Can't remember the name.
I wrote a letter to Midland including the FDIC case number for their reference. I explained that even though they have done nothing wrong, the accounts that were sold to them were from an institution that was involved in predatory tactics and illegal practice.
2 to 3 weeks later I received a letter saying that based on the information received they removed all accounts from the credit bureaus. I verified that they were removed.
