Midland Credit Reporting

I am wondering if anyone out there that knows what the process is of the Midland Credit Reporting policy.

I paid off an account that Midland Owned on 3-13-17.  The DOFD was 07/2012. 

It is my understanding that anything paid over 2 years old the trade line is deleted, updates sent every 2 weeks

Today 3-25-17 Experian is showing the account balance 0.  Status Late. 

Why did my account not get deleted but the balance update?

Anyone know how long after the balance updating it takes for the entry to be delted?

I had three accounts I settled with them first week of Feb. 2 of them took a little over a month and the last one was just removed. I was worried I was tricked but they did delete. Some people say it takes 2 weeks but for me it was a long game of waiting impatiently. They should delete though!

It takes about 3-4 weeks. No need to worry, they will delete.

Why would they update Experian toa 0 balance but not delete?

I tried to call Midland, but they told me the department that can help me was not there today to call back tommarow.

Honestly I'm not sure why. I settled so they had mine updated with the remainder balance I was extra worried they'd sell off the rest.

I called them when I was dealing with them and they said it takes 2 weeks from the time the balance updates with the CRAs.
