I had two paid collections (first premier and Credit one) that I paid off through midland before I found the forums.  I knew my chances of deletion were limited.  I had sent letter after letter after letter and finally a heartfelt from the bottom of my soul begging finally got through.  Talked with a very nice lady on the phone and she is deleting both accounts!!!!  Couldn't be happier!!  Now to tackle First Premier personally and Portfolio Recovery!!

That is awesome. Would you mind sharing your letter via private message? I have the same issue. I paid a collection from FP with Midland before I found these forums and it is the only thing on my EQ and EX that is holding me back. Could you also give me the address you sent your letters to? I've had no luck calling.

Sent.  If anyone has had success with First Premier, Portfolio or Capital One (late pays for this one) let me know.  My baddies are slowly going away.  I have them in a spreadsheet and as they are removed from credit report I hide them.  So happy to see the numbers decreasing.  :-)

CapOne deleted some lates off a charged-off account for me two weeks ago. It turned a negative closed tradeline into a positive one.

I have tried emailing and mailing letters.  I may have to just take the same bare my soul attempt with them.
