Does Midland buy the accounts? I have two from them on my report and I could settle but I don't have the money to pay in full so I'm too scared to do anything. However, they are updating every month so I know it is hurting my score big time. I'd rather deal with the OC if possible, especially after the horror stories I've read. They've had my accounts for two years so I'm not sure the best course of action. I'm also worried that if they see my credit score improving, they will puruse collection attempts, especially since it is within the SOL, or at least I assume. I'm not positive which accounts they may hold.
