Anyone ever have any luck with a PFD for the military credit card? Military Star, Mil Star, AAFES card...
They keep taking my stimulus/tax returns/gov't cheese every year to pay down their debt.
And that is why they won't PFD.
Any government related debt has the peace of mind knowing that your tax refunds, tax credits, etc. will go to them. So they have zero incentive to accept a PFD, unless possibly you offer to PIF. And even then they will only mark the TL paid, they will not remove it. They are not an ordinary business, they are more quasi-government.
Are you still in the military?
I know they use OSI collections. And even though it is a collection agency they can still offset your refund.
I do not know how much money you are talking about but if you pay it, whether they remove the account or not, your refunds will no longer be offset.
