More Help Please

Okay, Macys would not reopen my account and my credit score dropped 7 points.  My current scores are Equifax 563 Transunion 544 and Experian 528. I need some advice getting to640 across the board.  My current situation is 2 collection 760.00 Lvnv and a medical collection 1121.00. I have a charge off with Walmart.  GM Financial is current but late payments for in the past.

Buckle is closed with a balance of 193

Capital One cl is 500/Bal is 400.

BarclayCard cl is 500/Bal 500.

Victoria Secret 350/205.

Maurices 500/400.

Best Buy 500/400.

Target 500/480

Zales 500/250

Kays 400/200

3 student loans with a total of roughly 2000.00

I have 3 loans that totals roughly 6000.00

I look forward to everyone's advice. My wife and I are wanting to buy a house in January.

Re: More Help Please

First step would be paying off your credit cards that will help your score dramatically. That's what is killing your score.

Get your utlization level to under 30% on just 1 card and pay off the rest.

Pay off your Buckle to.

That's what you will need to do to get your score up.

Work on these

Capital One cl is 500/Bal is 400.

BarclayCard cl is 500/Bal 500.

Victoria Secret 350/205.

Maurices 500/400.

Best Buy 500/400.

Target 500/480

Then work on the others.

It's killing your utlization level which is calucated in your score and the lenders are going to look down on the credit balances.

Re: More Help Please

Thank you!  Do you think I can get my scores to 640 by January?  I will definitely pay down the one's you recommended.  I've been focused on the smaller accounts so much,  and just been paying the minimum on the other accounts.

Re: More Help Please

If you pay down your cards by November/December you should be fine.

You only need a 620 to get a loan anyway through FHA.

Buckle is closed with a balance of 193  A closed account with a balance is hurting you big time

Capital One cl is 500/Bal is 400. Showing as maxed which causes a Fico scoring ding twice .....once for UTL 2nd for Maxed out card

BarclayCard cl is 500/Bal 500. See above

Victoria Secret 350/205. Ditto

Maurices 500/400. Ditto

Best Buy 500/400. Ditto

Target 500/480 Ditto

Zales 500/250 50% UTL (too high)

Kays 400/200 See above

3 student loans with a total of roughly 2000.00 Paid as agreed?

I have 3 loans that totals roughly 6000.00 Paid as agreed?

The closed account with balance and UTL has your scores down

Chances are the closed account will come up in UW on a mortgage so you may want to deal with this first

Then just pay down card as you can

Home shopping good luck

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?
