I currently have a judgement from an old landlord and I need to pay it off as I am in the process of buying a home, however I cannot find him. I have tried everything to find this person and pay the debt. The mortgage broker states that he needs the paper of "satisfaction and release", not just paid. How do I get this timely for my mortgage loan app? The clerk at the court states that if I did pay it there they would send him notice for the release however, that could take over 30 days. Anyone ran into this before?
