gdale6, probably a dumb question but I'm learning...
Would I send them the whole file and detail the numerous times they called my place of employment, even after I asked them to stop?
I would only send the relevant info, too much info and they probably ignore it, you realistically have 15 secs to grab someones attention.

The have been supressed on my TU, not showing on Experian, and still hanging out as a collection on my Equafax. I can only hope it falls off of Equafax. That would be a big corner to turn...
For clarification, Equifax was the last one to delete this. I ended up sending a letter to Drivetime reminding them of the CFPB order and threatening to file a complaint with them again if they don't delete it. It just came off as of yesterday, and that was about a month after the other two CRA's. I suspect it had less to do with my letter and more to do with Equifax dragging their butts on deleting it.
Drivetime is the devil. One agent called my job at least 3 times a day and when I asked him not to call my job anymore and to use my home or cell number. He told me he wasn't obligated to.

Boom! I just pulled Equafax and it was gone! Thanks for the heads-up!
Now on to removing my last 5 baddies!
Congratulations!
Has anyone else had luck with this? I am unclear as to who it effects, and what needs to be done. A buddy of mine who is working on his credit has them on his files and tghey have been pretty predatory with their collections of him. They offered him a HUGE discount (he owes 6k after the car sold and they want to settle for 650) and he is willing to take it if they do a PFD, but they have not responded yet. What does he need to do, and what can we do to determine if he is part of this court order?
If it helps, they are theones still collecting for the debt, not some assigned collection agency. Its the last derog he has on his report and he would like to get into a house sometime soon.

I was in the same situation as your friend. They had offered to settle with me for 10% of the remaining balance also. I found out about the CFPB order shortly after I sent them a PFD letter. They didn't respond to the PFD. They deleted it from EX and EQ (albeit a month later). For some reason the original poster (soloman) and I are finding out that they didn't exactly delete it from TU, they just had it suppressed. If I were your friend, I would send Drivetime a letter reminding them of the CFPB order and actually file a complaint with the CFPB if they have been committing any of the erroneous collection activities that are spelled out in that order. As of now, I'm about to let the CFPB know about the suppression tactic that they seem to be doing with TU. Although it may not affect my report or score while it's being suppressed, that is only a temporary state. It doesn't make any sense that they would delete it on the other two but not TU.
Dragonfly what did your letters to drivetime state? Or did you send then to all credit reporting agencies?
I had a repo with them from 2011. I bought a piece of junk PT Cruiser and the engine seized. I didn't have the money to fix it, so I just ended up leaving it in a parking lot and walked away from it. Never called Drivetime, don't know what happened to the car, and I was so mad at the time that I didn't care. I never even heard from DT after that .. no calls, no letters, nothing.
I just checked my credit report from Feb 2015, and the repo doesn't show. It was on there in Jan 2015. So I guess they removed it themselves?
