Started with a bunch of collections and really nothing positive. Even though my scores were in the 580's according to USAA, I knew it was a farce when MyFico.com refunded my money because I was "Unscorable" due to no active accts in the past 6 months.
Where I am now !!!:
Deleted: $7000 repossession by Household Bank
Deleted: $50 and $72 medical collections from NCO
Deleted: 3 collections from Progressive Management
Deleted: $1200 BOFA Chargeoff
Deleted: $75 Gas Company Bill
And drumroll for my score directly from MYFICO as of 11/6 = 774 Equifax and 680 Transunion
I still have a long way to go (2 collections on Transunion and 4 on Experian), but I have made a lot of progress.
Tip 1: Don't bother with Experian Online Disputes as they will usually just verify and update the note to say "Verified, Meets Standards of FCA reporting"
Tip 2: Transunion and Equifax seems to be easier to dispute online.
Tip 3: PFD letters do work, mostly when you are willing to pay in full and when the debt is old.
Tip 4: Don't give up and be a little patient. When my first few collections were removed I went app happy and got denied. Those creditors like your credit to be squeaky. It's not worth it to risk the inquiries.
Seriously??? Two months?? CONGRATS TO YOU!!! That's excellent progress but now I really feel like an underachiever...
