My Credit Improvement Update - 2 Months

[ Edited ]

Started with a bunch of collections and really nothing positive. Even though my scores were in the 580's according to USAA, I knew it was a farce when refunded my money because I was "Unscorable" due to no active accts in the past 6 months.

Where I am now !!!:

Deleted: $7000 repossession by Household Bank

Deleted: $50 and $72 medical collections from NCO

Deleted: 3 collections from Progressive Management

Deleted: $1200 BOFA Chargeoff

Deleted: $75 Gas Company Bill

And drumroll for my score directly from MYFICO as of 11/6 = 774 Equifax and 680 Transunion

I still have a long way to go (2 collections on Transunion and 4 on Experian), but I have made a lot of progress.

Tip 1: Don't bother with Experian Online Disputes as they will usually just verify and update the note to say "Verified, Meets Standards of FCA reporting"

Tip 2: Transunion and Equifax seems to be easier to dispute online.

Tip 3: PFD letters do work, mostly when you are willing to pay in full and when the debt is old.

Tip 4: Don't give up and be a little patient. When my first few collections were removed I went app happy and got denied. Those creditors like your credit to be squeaky. It's not worth it to risk the inquiries.
