As stated in my subject line I recently bought my FICO score on Equifax website. And there is a difference in the two which one is correct? I trying to reach that score that will qualify me fore a mortgage loan and before I give the company to go ahead I want to be somewhat sure before I get my feelings hurt thinking I'm good. MyFICO scores as follows: TU:669, EXP:690, EQ: 670.
Thanks! That helps ease my mind. But it infuriates me that EQU is ripping off good folk trying to better there credit for the sake of their families and self.

I would not go that far. There is a huge amount of information here in theis forum and all over the internet about credit scoring. Equifax is not hiding anything from anyone.
maybe maybe not on hiding info but please explain why there info is so different. understand they use a different scoring model but come on people such as myself want to be able to trust a system they can rely on to help make good sound decisions on major credit purchases when trying to repair credit
I also am experiencing this situation. Equifax says they are the correct score, not my fico. This is important because there is a difference in my score of 59 points- a lot! My fico is the lower score. Scoresense has it a bit higher, but their credit report is not up to date and equifax is. This is kind of frustrating as I really want to know where I am.
i feel your pain. this forum is very helpful and filled great information but i just wish there was standard set that could put minds to ease but not knowing who is right makes me just want to say well i cant use that type of lanuage but being a vet i cant give up the fight. all we can do is pray for an honest answer from someone.
Equifax is annoying.
the FICO Equifax uses is a real FICO. Used to be, Equifax and myfico were the exact same score pulled from both sites...the explanation of them being different now is either EQ or myfico changed their scoring model. From all I've heard, it seems that EQ is still using beacon 5.0, whereas myfico changed to a newer version 08 model referred to as beacon 9.0. I believe most Mortgage lenders are still using beacon 5.0.
