I called TU to get an EE on a Amex account that was due to fall off in August. I settled for less than the owed amount with Amex before I knew how to handle and fix my credit properly. I was happy to get my this baddie off my report. I logged into CreditKarma to see if it had been removed from my report and it was. The funny thing was my TU score went down 2 points because my number of accounts went from 12 to 11.
I'm not concerned but that was not the result I was expecting.
I had several collections removed over the months and all FICO's went up about 11 points. Had two charge offs GW deleted and saw a 40 increase - or + a few points with all 3 CRA's.
I got an 11 point bump on TU Fako with an EE done yesterday. But my EQ went down 85 because a new account is reporting. The baddie wasn't on the EQ, just TU. Oh well.
