Quick background: Spent ten years in the Army. My credit is 579. I have two vehicle repos and several small creit cards on my credit report. I also have a bank account that was closed with a large negative balance. Altogether, around $30,000 in debt.
Now, I am working in Afghanistan as a civilian contractor. I am making six figures for the next year and a half. I want to buy a house as soon as possible. I will be using a VA loan when the time comes.
I just wanted to say I will comb this entire site for anything I can. All advice is appreciated.
Since your making 6 figures now, just pay down ALL your debt and send Pay For Delete letters to your creditors.
