I feel pretty good on this first business day of 2014. Today was payday, including my very substantial bonus, soooo ... I woke up with a real boost to the savings toward that house I want to get this year. :-) It was also the day Credit Karma does their weekly update & my scoring had jumped by 12 points, the expected Midland delete has finally come (at least for TU)!
I put my Asset Acceptance dispute in the mail this morning and I believe I will have success with them, as I did with Midland, because my documentation is good. I owed only $30 total on two credit cards & paid that. I made a small extra payment on my student loan, bringing total down to $200 (which I'll pay off this month). I received in the mail the letter from the CU, saying that my debt to them is paid in full and they have removed my account from ChexSystem and my credit reports.
Hard to conceive of a better start to the year. :-)
