NFCU App

I am about to complete my 60 month Chapter 13, woooooo 2 more weeks.
I have gotten a secured card from 5/3 bank 1 month ago. It has reported once already.

I have checked my FAKO scores and I am 652-682 across the 3 bureaus.

So here is my question... After discharge should I app for an NFCU secured or unsecured card? Keep in mind I have been with NFCU for 21 years but just recently 1 month ago started using them again and restablished a savings account. They were not whatsoever included in my Chapter 13.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would vote yes on that.  You will need to build positive TLs during the rebuild.

Hard to tell by your FAKO scores.  If those were FICO, I'd go for an unsecured.

Do you have any offers on the nfcu website?

No offers, but keep in mind my 13 has not been discharged yet. I would think that may have an effect on the offers???

Not to get off subject but how often do all of you see offers of credit on NFCU?

App for the unsecured version, if you are denied they will counter offer the secured nRewards card. Good luck, you never know what will happen when it comes to NFCU!

On the other hand, I always click "offers" and there is almost always things there.. Just nothing I would want. Things like "review your cashRewards card" or "do direct depoit with your tax return"

Credit cards specifically, or any kind of offers/credit? I have an offer for a car loan and overdraft line of credit currently, and it has been staring me in my face for over a month every time I log in.
