NYS Tax judgement.

Date filed 10/9/12

Court: Nassau county Reg

Plaintiff: State of new York

Amount: >1000

This judgment is showing on my EXP, which I am trying to clean up. It has been paid, How would i go about getting it removed since I paid it in full?

Should I call up each bureau or should I send a copy of the satisfied tax warrant to each bureau and they will remove for me?

Re: NYS Tax judgement.

Tax liens, even in NYS, stay for 7 years from date paid.

The 5 years is for judgments.

thanks for the reply, would a satisfied tax warrant paired with a motion to vacate work to get it removed? I had a tax judgment dissapear off my exp after disputing it once.

Re: NYS Tax judgement.

You would need to contact whoever put it on your report ie Tax Accessor.  I know federal liens can be removed when satisfied.
