National Recovery

I currently have a collection account with this agency for BMG Music Service. I read on this board  that if you call them up and pay they will delete off my reports. Has anyone had any success doing this through this collection agency on here? If so I am going to call them tomorrow and get rid of this account. Thanks.

Re: National Recovery

I wouldn't just call them up and pay.  I'd get it in writing via a PFD.  Search around for a template on these forums.  It's always better to get everything in writing.

Re: National Recovery

Yes I sent them a PFD letter and they turned around and sent me a dunning letter. I will have to call them and see what goes on today when I get home. I heard success stories of them deleting once payment has been made.

Re: National Recovery

Have you sent them a DV letter? I had to deal with them too.  They were reporting a small balance on my EQ and EX reports and had the OC listed as Capital Management Ventures.  About 2 months ago I sent them a well worded DV CMRR and they quickly folded. No longer on any of my reports.

If I were you I'd send a DV first and then go from there.

Re: National Recovery

Sending you a dunning letter at this stage looks very suspicious.  That was required of them within 5-days of any initial communication wih you or initial posting to your CR.

Did they ever do that?

Re: National Recovery

Definitely do DV with them.  I remember BMG was on my report and I was a minor when I signed up for their service.  I disputed it and it was deleted.

Re: National Recovery

I never received a dunning letter from them ever. I have moved in the past 2 years but never remember them sending me any letters. I am going to send them a DV letter and see what their response is. I disputed this account with the bureaus and they all came back verified.
