I have had sucess getting a medical collection removed from my DH CR. unbeknownst to us until we looked at CR earlier this year there was a medical collection reporting from an ER visit in 2009, hospital never attempted to bill insurance just sent straight to collection oddly collections never bothered to send a bill either.luckily we still carry the same insurance. I called the hospital billing dept and they said they dont know if they can bill 3years later, politely i asked "well whos fault is that? You were given the insurance information, on arrival and you never billed, i received 1 bill from the ER physican and ER Dept and that was paid. I thought that included the hefty 8000.00 bill.
Anyways long story short its gone. Thanks board! I will update if they were able to bill insurance i know a few ppl wanted to know when i first posted this concern.
