I am sitting at 637 EQ and would like to get the last 3 points by the end of next month to apply for USDA home loan.

I was finally able to get the collection removed on all 3 reports.

I am sitting at 10% util.

4 positive accounts reporting (bank of america, 2 commenity, fingerhut) AAoA 11 months

1 old derog - 3 years old

1 paid/closed that backdated 2 years (aarons, shows as a loan)

1 paid/closed from fingerhut fresh start

Drop your utilization down to around 5% and see if that helps.

try paying down to reduce utilization to around 1%... that should give you the 3 point bump. What is the 1 derog you have?? Have you tried DV? PFDs/

OK! I will give it a try lowering the util.  Hope it works

And yes, the derog is there to stay until it ages off. I've tried PFD, good wills, BBB, everything. Luckily it isn't factoring into my util but its from a CU and they are not willing to help in any way at all.  At one point they changed the DOFD and it ended up adding 2 years of being on my report but they said it was an "error" and fixed it.  They don't update it monthly either, last updated was 2011 I believe.  I think that the only way I would pay it is if its a condition to get a mortgage.
