I've been having the worst time with Equifax lately. I'm beginning to think they are sabotaging my credit file intentionally. lol.
I disputed my open auto installment account because my payment history has not been updating in months. The invetigation just completed and now it shows my auto loan under "closed accounts".
My question is... Do I bother to dispute it? I've been paying on time for the past 18 months but it still shows as it is a "redeemed repossession". Am I better off with it reporting as closed?!
My other question is... Although it is listed under "Closed Accounts" (and under "Negative Accounts"), it shows Account Status as "Pays As Agreed".
Here is a screen shot of how it's showing. Any advice is appreciated!
it's still a negtive mark
Yes, I understand it is still considered negative but my question is if I should have it reporting as Open or let it report as Closed? I am still making payments on this loan every month on time.
If you are still paying on the loan then it should be reporting as a current open account. I suggest a Section 623 direct dispute with the lender.
If you're still paying on it then yes make sure it says it's open and current
