Need Guidance on removing 30-60 days late on CR five years old

Hello and thank you for reading my post.

I have one credit card (Department Store-Military Star) for over 20 years.  There are five late payments (3 are 30 days late and 2 are 60 days late).  They are from over 5 1/2 years old.  That's the only thing bad on my CR.

Should I do one or more of the followings:

1. Write a good will letter and asked them to remove them due to hardship/family reasons at that time.

2. Do a dispute to the credit companies and roll the dice. Hoping they will be nice.

3. Not hurting my credit score, because the are very old and will aged off within the next 18 months.

Another questions I would like to know is:  If you do a dispute through the credit companies (Equifax, Trans Union and Experian) and I am specifically disputing 5 late payments by the month and year.  Can the Creditor stated this is true and report additional late payments that were never reported, however, since I did the dispute, I open a can of worms and now I have (example 8 latest now).  Please advise....

Many thanks

Don't dispute accurate information through the CB's. You can goodwill the company but I
wouldn't invest too much time if they are stingy. Option 3 is true they aren't hurting you too much.

What I would say though if that's your only CC you might wanna get two more. You have a long thin
file. It shows poentiel lenders that you can juggle one credit card. I can think of some lenders
who might deny you despite the length of your history due to the thickness of it.

You could also open a secured loan putting in your own money so you don't actually
borrow any money but you pay a very low interest rate. People have been denied for
no recent installment activity.

Thank you for the info.

Btw,

I do have a Visa, Mastercard, Lowes, car payment, 2 other department cards.  Working on reducing by balances on my cards.  I believe I got a good mixture of debt.

I was wandering if I should go down that rabbit holes and try to remove it.  You are correct, the CC is very stingy and don't have a good track record of being nice.
